Consulting for Healthcare and Healing Professionals - Individual Provider Form

Thank you for your interest in my consulting services!

My intention is to provide you with information, awareness, and feedback about the healthcare and healing services you offer and how they may be enhanced to best support trauma survivors as well as to support you in your practice. I draw on my experience as a survivor of trauma who has navigated myriad healthcare and healing practices – acupuncture, chiropractic, EMDR, massage therapy, naturopathic care, pelvic floor therapy, psychotherapy, group therapy, writing workshops, and yoga – all to complement and facilitate my healing. I combine my personal experience navigating practices and systems with what I have learned in my practice as a yoga teacher, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and nonprofit director over the last two decades. I have found that honesty, collaboration, flexibility, and humility in health and healing spaces lends itself to more positive impacts for everyone involved. Though my work as a medical and legal advocate, and campus educator, I have also worked closely with families and significant others of survivors, their friends, communities, and individuals seeking to identify their role in the movement to support trauma survivors.

My approach is rooted in my direct experience as a survivor, an advocate for survivors, a yoga practitioner, and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I am able to refer you to my colleagues and mentors should we decide that you require different support or additional expertise. There is no one size fits all approach to healing and there is no one way we respond to trauma, therefore, the best teachers are truly the survivors with whom you work. Still, in order to best prepare you for that work and to reduce survivors’ physiological burdens and risks of re-traumatization when meeting with new providers, I aim to instill you with the necessary information and confidence to care for your clients while caring for yourself.

There is a shared space of connection, presence, humility, creativity and compassion that allows us to live through and beyond trauma – individually and collectively – and I hope to support you in discovering that within yourself and nourishing that possibility among the individuals you serve.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to these questions, I look forward to working together. Please send your responses to me either in an email or you can send them as an attachment to mollybharris@gmail.com
